Refund Policy
We want every Persona customer to feel good about what they bought. If you don't, we're happy to make it right. Here's exactly how refunds work.
1. Trials
Our trials (7-day for $4.99, 30-day for $14.99, 90-day for $39.99) charge a one-time fee upfront and unlock the full product for the trial period.
- Before the trial ends: cancel at any time from Manage subscription. You will not be charged the subscription renewal. The trial fee itself is non-refundable once paid โ that's what covered your access for the trial window.
- Unhappy with the trial? Write us within 14 days of the initial charge (support@startpersona.com) explaining why. We refund trial fees in good faith if access was broken, the product didn't match what was described, or you accidentally purchased.
2. Subscription renewals
After a trial, or on direct subscription plans, you are charged on the renewal cadence chosen at checkout (monthly $39.99 or quarterly $99.99).
- Cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period โ you keep access through what you've already paid for.
- If a renewal charges you unexpectedly (you intended to cancel, you forgot, life happened), contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund the most recent renewal in full, no questions asked.
- Older renewals (beyond 14 days) are reviewed case by case. We look at whether the subscription was used during the billing period. If the product went unused, we typically refund.
3. How to request a refund
- Email support@startpersona.com from the address on your account.
- Include the date of the charge and, if possible, the last 4 digits of the card used.
- Tell us briefly what went wrong. One sentence is fine.
We reply within two business days. Approved refunds land on the original payment method within 5โ10 business days depending on your bank.
4. Chargebacks
Before filing a dispute with your bank, please write us first. We will almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback will. Fraudulent chargebacks (where a legitimate charge was disputed without contacting us) may result in your account being suspended.
5. What we can't refund
- Purchases older than 60 days, unless there's a clear billing error.
- The portion of a subscription already used, if significant value was consumed (e.g. AI chat usage exceeding what a refund would cover).
- Third-party fees (currency conversion, credit card fees) that your bank charged.
6. Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy overrides the refund rights you have under the consumer protection law that applies where you live. In the EU and UK this includes a 14-day cooling-off period for distance-sold digital services, which applies until you have begun using the service.
